mousesports have claimed victory at the finals of the seventeenth season of the German ESL Pro Series, defeating Alternate 16-4 on de_inferno to win the season.

The season seventeen final, once again consisting of the classic battle between mousesports and Alternate, kicked off on de_inferno with mousesports as Terrorists and Alternate on the defending CT side. First round of the match went in favour of mouz, seeing Christian "Blizzard" Chmiel locking down a 1-versus-2 situation with the bomb planted.

The next six rounds Alternate did not manage to claim a single round and with a 7-0 lead for mouz, Alternate called a timeout. Little did it help for Alternate at first, as mouz continued to take rounds. The first round when to Alternate after a 2-versus-2 re-take on the A-bombsite. It should also be the last round for Alternate in the first half, as mouz kept dominating Alternate, ending up at a 14-1 lead at half-time.

Alternate doubled up on rounds after a successful pistol-round, where Kenyon "KenaN" Temmel took down three mouz members to win the round. Alternate could however not hold off mouz for long and with two rounds in a row, mouz claimed victory with a 16-4 score line to win the seventeenth ESL Pro Series season in Germany.

Kapio & gob b end career with EPS victory

This finalizes the seventeenth season of the German ESL Pro Series, with mousesports winning yet another trophy for their already packet trophy-cabinet. The final standings for the season seventeen finals are as follow:

The end of the season also marks the retirement of Fatih "gob b" Dayik and Navid "Kapio" Javadi, who has played their last match in the mousesports jersey. Who mousesports will pick up to fill the two empty spots is yet to be officially announced, but reports indicate it will be the season MVP Vinh "ninja" Bui Thanh from TBH and Manuel "approx" Zeitz from Alternate.
